TikTok turns Trump Jr.'s bad ideas into hilarious FaceTime calls

Donald Trump Jr. has a habit of posting slightly (OK often exceptionally) unhinged videos online. They've got a certain je ne sais quoi to them: filmed with a front-facing camera, sweaty, clearly unrehearsed.

So it made perfect sense that Ryan Hunter on TikTok reimagined one of Trump Jr.'s videos as a late-night, half-assed-business-idea FaceTime call to a friend. The kind of call that leads you to tell your pal the next day that maybe they should take it easy with mood-changing substances for the foreseeable future.

Here's the two-part series from Hunter, where he imagines Trump calling him to chat about his idea that Tesla CEO Elon Musk should make a new version of Twitter.

The interstitial moments from Hunter are perfect largely because nobody in Trump Jr.'s life seems to be willing or able to tell him nope this is not a great idea.

The soon-to-be-former first son was clearly floating the idea of a new Twitter after the platform gave his father the boot for inciting an insurrection.

Although Trump Jr. claims in the video, "If you can put manned people into space...I think you could do Twitter much better." So maybe, just maybe, he doesn't quite get it.
