Luke Perry, star of 'Riverdale' and 'Beverly Hills, 90210,' has died
Luke Perry, who famously starred as Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90210and most recently as Fred Andrews in Riverdale, has died.

While Perry was reportedly lucid when paramedics arrived at his Sharman Oaks home, he was brought to the hospital after his condition noticeably worsened.
Rumors that Perry was later placed in a coma were denied, but his representative confirmed to Mashable that he "passed away after suffering a massive stroke" on March 4th.
The publicist's statement also noted that Perry was surrounded by his two children as well as other members of his family.
According to IMDB, Perry is slated to appear in the remaining episodes of RiverdaleSeason 3 and has also filmed his final role as Scott Lancer in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
At the time of his death, Luke Perry was 52 years old.
Update: In a statement provided to People, the creators of Riverdaleannounced that production on the CW show has stopped and further memorialized Perry:
"We are deeply saddened to learn today about the passing of Luke Perry. A beloved member of the ‘Riverdale,’ Warner Bros. and CW family, Luke was everything you would hope he would be: an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all. A father figure and mentor to the show’s young cast, Luke was incredibly generous, and he infused the set with love and kindness. Our thoughts are with Luke’s family during this most difficult time.”
